Free Patterns
Crochet
The first free pattern is for a simple Half Double Crochet hat. You will need to know the Half Double Crochet stitch and some basic crocheting skills. If you don't then it is not a problem! You can simply view the video tutorial I have made below. It will show the basic stitches needed to make the hat, and uses the "magic circle" technique. The pattern is written in US terms and will fit ANY age! The Hat Size Chart will show how to measure your hats for the perfect fit, allowing the pattern to fit any size with any yarn/hook.
*Note: the video is uploaded to a personal youtube account and will be moved soon. When the video moves I will update it on the blog.

Materials
4 ply worsted weight yarn (I used "pound of love" for the tutorial)
Size H/8.5mm Hook
Stitch Markers/Scrap Yarn
Ruler/Measuring Tape
For those who love math as much as I do (no, I'm not kidding!) you can take the measurement of the person's head you are making the hat for and divide like so:
(20 inches) / (3.14) = 6.369 inch diameter of crown
This means for a person with a 20 inch head circumference (measured from brow level around) your increase circle (it will look like a coaster at this point) needs to measure 6 to 6.5 inches across in diameter before you continue on with the hat pattern.
For a folded brim you will need to add more length in rounds after the increase. The chart above measures just above the eyes for each size. You can click to enlarge the photo and download if needed. If you must share this photo please make sure to link back to the blog's webpage or the business page, thank you!
Sewing
This next free pattern is a sewing pattern for cloth Mary Jane shoes. I had sewn a pair of shoes using this pattern and noticed it had printed rather large so I fixed the photo. It should now print the correct size of 0-3 months (measuring 4 inches from toe to heel).
This pattern would look absolutely adorable in a reversible pattern! The instructions are not given on how to sew this cloth shoe, so you will need to know basic sewing skills. This pattern is beginner-intermediate for the small spaces that are sewn, as well as knowledge of sewing a button-hole (not necessary, but if you would like the shoe to have a button closure you may sew a button-hole). Seam allowance is also given.
Materials
1 Fat quarter of fabric in main color
1 Fat quarter of fabric in lining color
Matching thread
Needle/Sewing machine
Button
Ribbon/Other embellishments if desired
Print the photo below at 100% after clicking on it to enlarge. The square to the right should measure 1 inch by 1 inch and the sole of shoe should measure 4.5 inches. If you have any errors during printing, enlarge or shrink the photo. Some printers may want to enlarge the photo itself or shrink to fit the printing space. The pattern will print on one page. Please measure the pattern to make sure it is the right size before transferring to fabric. We don't want to waste fabric because of printing errors, I know I've done it before myself.
Those are the free patterns I have to date so far, and many more are to come! If you would like to test crochet patterns I have written please feel free to join the craft group I have listed above. If you see any bugs or errors in any of the patterns please let me know in a comment below or on the craft group page. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope to see the wonderful creations you all have made! Feel free to post finished photos below.
