It wasn't until after my first tree that I noticed my problem (middle stone), I had the wrong gauge of wire! I needed a thicker wire for the "base" to mold around my stone. Not wanting to go back to the craft store I just doubled up on my 22 gauge wire and it worked! I made my second tree with beautiful success (Last stone in above photo) and kept wanting to make more. I know this time around I will be picking up two different sized wires (a 16 gauge for the base and possibly a 28 gauge for the tree).
I'll need to pick up better pliers for my pendants as well, my older set is a bit rusty and some tools to cut the wire into a not-so-sharp point would be helpful too (don't need anyone saying ouch trying to wear my pendants).
These would make excellent holiday gifts if someone wants to try them! So far, I've only seen a few pendants like mine, the rest are trees with the beads on them.
Have you attempted or made pendants like these? What are your tips and tricks to wire wrapping and jewelry making? I would love to see your creations!
Feel free to link back to the blog, post a comment to your creations, etc. Have a lovely time crafting!
